RADC Announcements
The Rockford Area Development Corporation meets once a quarter in the Village Hall. The meetings start at 7:30 PM. Please watch the Photo Star or the Parkway Independent for changes that may come about. Everyone is welcome to attend but only members can vote.
The RADC will hold it's next meeting on April 16th, 2009 at 7:30 PM in Village Hall.
The RADC participated in the Christmas Walk on December 7. We handed out over 500 free candy canes at the 4-way stop. A group consisting of Betty Belna, Sue Barna, and Nancy Leighner decorated a vacant downtown store front window. The winners for the community pool raffle were Cindy Schatzer ($100.00), Lowell Beougher ($50.00), and Tomi Barna ($25.00).
Todd McKee and Nancy Leighner will co-chair the swimming pool committee. A pool location at Shane's Park has been determined. Anyone interested in helping with this committee should contact Todd or Nancy.
Trade Shows
Trade shows are a terrific place for evaluating the competition, as well as getting some face time with potential customers, clients, and colleagues. They’re a great way to increase visibility and credibility.
