ROCKFORD AREA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
GENERAL MEETING
ROCKFORD, OHIO
March 27, 2008 7:30p.m.
Pete called the meeting to order with 4 board members present and several general members and guest present.
President Pete explained the RADC and did invite individuals to join the RADC.
The minutes and treasurers report were not read due to lack of quorum.
Twyla Hayes gave a report on the 8 Minute Vocation Acceleration Experience.
Membership Drive – 18 members at this time.
Business Expo – April 12th. We need to pay for the booth yet.
Rockford Pool – Twyla Hayes met with Todd McKee who is on the service committee for the town. Pete explained that the RADC was not going to head up the committee but a natural source to help and hear the thoughts of the community. There was a lot of discussion on the existing pool and the possibility of a new pool at Shanes Park. The RADC will put together a survey.
The next RADC meeting will be held on April 17th at the Community Building at Shanes Park in conjunction with the Rockford Village meeting.
New Businesses
Four new community businesses were recognized at the 34th Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet on November 1, 2007. Congratulations Mercer Landmark Soybean Extrusion Plant, The Olde Rockford Hardware, Pleasant Dwellings LLC, and the Rockford Carry-out.
