Mary Beougher gave a short report on the Combined Charities saying that 2010 had been a little better than previous years and that everything was pretty much wrapped up.

Bryan Sutton introduced a guest and new member of our community - Dennis Trimboli, the new administrator for Rockford Health Group, aka Colonial.

Minutes were read from last month's meeting by Bryan.  A motion to accept by Barb and 2nd'd by Leah, approved by all.

Lisa gave a treasurer's report.  A motion to accept by Dan, 2nd'd by Barb, and approved by all.

Dan Henkle shared some good information with the group concerning the Crime Awareness program.  Dan shared how long the program had been running and the various members of the community that were involved.  He gave a short treasurer's report for the program.  Dan stated that he had been the Chamber representative for Crime Awareness for quite a few years and was looking to step down if their was anyone who would like to take that position.  It was suggested that all present think about someone in the community who would be good to take over that position from Dan.  Bob Thompson shared some good information regarding that fact that a lot of the $50.00 rewards given by the Crime Awareness program has not been in the form of cash, but in the form of gift certificates.

Bryan discussed member renewals going out and the campaign by NOACC for Join Your Local Chamber and the $25.00 Chamber Rewards for referring new members.

Bryan mentioned that the officers had been discussing the possibility of educational events for members this year.

Bryan asked everyone present to let him know their current email address so he could easily keep everyone updated as to what was going on.

The FBC is doing the member renewals for us.

Mr. Putoff was not in attendance to give us an update on checking with Vantage about the electrical project at the park.

There was a little more discussion on the sign maintenance at the edges of town.

Bryan asked Dan & Barb to get with Time Well Spent to get a photo to put in the Photo Star.  Barb said she would take care of it.

New Business

Brenda and Leah stated that the Winterfest Committee would like to purchase a new decoration around their theme for Winterfest, out of the profit they made from the 2010 event.  Currently there is a huge savings by purchasing it this time of year - 50% off.  It would come to approx. $1200.00 with shipping.  It would be purchased from Wayne Mfg. and has a 4 yr warranty.  Burtchs' said it could be delivered at their place so unloading it would not be a problem.  They also shared that the Winterfest committee is looking at doing 3 different fund raisers for this year.  Bob made a motion to go ahead with the purchase.  It was 2nd'd by Jane, and approved by all.

Brenda's church is donating 2 large 7 foot trees to Winterfest as well.  It was discussed where we had storage for the new Winterfest items.

Norm shared that the Lions Club Variety Show was coming up soon and handed out the first letters going out to businesses in the area.  He shared that last year 200 businesses donated.  Lions Club members will be contacting area businesses for donations or gift certificates in the near future.

Bryan said he needed to get the golf outing scheduled for this summer.

Bryan shared information on NFIB.  He is a member and gets valuable information through email.  He shared about many of their informative webinars that are free to NFIB members, as well non-members.  If anyone would like the information forwarded to them, let Bryan know.  Bryan also shared that NFIB has a Young Entrepreneur Foundation that he wanted to discuss with the FBLA and the business teachers at the school because they had a nice scholarship program to offer.

There was a motion to adjorn by Brenda.  2nd'd by Leah.
